Terms of use
These terms apply when you use Iglo. By downloading and using the app you accept them. The app is provided by Cool App Company Ltd, a company registered in Cyprus ("we"). Contact: contact@coolappcompany.com.
1. The service
Iglo is a study timer. You pick a block of ice, study while it melts, see your stats and can compete with friends on a weekly leaderboard. Iglo can lock apps you choose during a session using Apple's Screen Time.
2. Subscriptions and payment
- Iglo requires a subscription. The plans and prices are shown in the app before you buy, for example weekly or yearly. Prices may vary by country and currency.
- Payment is charged to your Apple account when you confirm the purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
- You manage and cancel the subscription in your device's App Store settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's rules (reportaproblem.apple.com).
- If we change the price, Apple notifies you in advance, and the new price applies from the next period.
3. Account and leaderboard
- The app creates an anonymous account automatically, without a login. If you delete the app, the account and your friends list may be lost.
- The name you choose is shown to your friends. Don't use offensive names, other people's names or anything that harms others. We may change or remove names and accounts that break this rule.
- Don't try to manipulate the leaderboard, for example by modifying the app or sending false data.
- You can delete your account and all your data at any time in Settings → Reset all data. See also the privacy policy.
4. App locking
App locking relies on Apple's Screen Time. It only works once you have granted permission, and we can't guarantee it always stops every app, for example if iOS has a bug or the permission is withdrawn. Apps unlock when the ice has melted or you give up the session.
5. No guaranteed results
Iglo is a tool to help you study more and better. We don't promise particular grades or results. Iglo is not health care or treatment. If you feel very stressed, talk to someone you trust or a health professional.
6. Ownership
The app, the Iglo character, the illustrations and texts belong to us. You get a personal, non-exclusive right to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, in line with these terms and the App Store rules. Names and logos of other apps shown in Iglo belong to their owners and are used only to show which apps can be locked.
7. Liability
We do our best to make Iglo work as intended, but the app is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, such as lost study time or data. This does not limit your rights as a consumer under applicable law.
8. Apple
These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support, and is not liable for claims relating to the app, apart from any refund of the purchase price under Apple's rules. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA) also applies where these terms don't say otherwise.
9. Changes and termination
We may update the app and these terms. We'll tell you in the app about significant changes. You can stop using Iglo and cancel your subscription at any time. If you seriously break these terms, we may close your leaderboard account.
10. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Cyprus. Please contact us first at contact@coolappcompany.com. If we can't agree, you can get help from the consumer authority where you live (in Norway: Forbrukertilsynet) or use the EU online dispute resolution platform. Wherever you live, you keep the mandatory consumer protection of your home country.
